Whooo-Whooo Knew?

Recently my five year old wanted to know more about orangutans. So I got out the encyclopedia or I googled it. What popped up on the computer was a you tube clip of orangutans in Indonesia. Orangutans live in the tree tops of Palm trees. These trees are being cut done with out insuring the safety of the orangutans. They have developed new habitats to protect and care for the orangutans injured. But these daycare centers are poorly funded and have a limited amount of land. Orangutan day cares are not a solution for the production of palm oil.

First Step

What you can do to help save the orangutans is not purchase products containing palm oil. I know it can be difficult but convenience is not worth endangering a species.

i will now try to find things that do not contain palm oil..i had no clue what was happening to the orangutans...very sad
